Approval Process in Website Development

Almost every Web designer can attest that much of their work is repetitive. We find ourselves completing the same tasks, even if slightly modified, over and over for every Web project. Following a detailed website design and development process can speed up your work and help your client understand your role in the project. Developing a process for Web design can organize the thoughts of a developer, speed up the timeline of a project and prepare a business for growth.
Question: First of all, what exactly is a process?
Answer: A Web development process is a documented outline of the steps needed to be taken from start to finish in order to complete a typical Web design project. It divides and categorizes the work and then breaks these high-level sections into tasks and resources that can be used as a road map for each project.

Principle Based Structure

1) Audience Analysis, 2) Business Objectives

After reviewing business objectives and target audiences description, creative role writes creative brief (describing objects and audience in relation to creative concerns, and outlining create approaches at a high level).

Designer creates a set of interfaces elements such as Icons, images, and ideas for metaphors. Initial set of interface elements is show to target users for validation. Client (internal or external) provides feedback.

Designer produces a sketch of the interface (a flat file in an application such as Photoshop). Client reviews the sketch and approves it (possibly after requesting changes)

Designer creates a clickable model of the site with some links activated. Complexity of the model will depend on time allotted and what needs to be demonstrated. Client reviews and approves clickable model.

Creative development begins on the site. Gather round my bruthas, while we discusss, some JavaScript technologies.
